  As part of our work to ensure myday remains secure and robust we are planning to deploy a security and stability update to our identity platform in advance of the new academic year. The deployment will take place during the afternoon of the upcoming UK bank holiday on Monday 31st of August. The update brings the frameworks and libraries we are using up-to-date and implements some important security fixes as well a number of stability improvements. The window of deployment will between the hours of 11:00 and 15:00 UTC (12:00 - 16:00 in the UK).

  During this maintenance window a small number of your end-users who sign in may find themselves subsequently signed out when we switch over to the updated platform. Users who signed in before the maintenance window will not be affected. With exception to the signout, we are not expecting any major disruption, but as with any change or deployment unanticipated events can occur and therefore the myday services should be considered at risk during this window.

  During the maintenance window a maintenance message will be displayed to end users advising them that they may be signed out.
